We have a broad base of experience in telehealth operations management, research and program evaluation. Anne Burdick, MD, MPH has been involved in the leadership of international telehealth organizations, published and presented extensively on telehealth, and participated in the development of telehealth standards, guidelines and best practices.

Anne E. Burdick, MD, MPH

Dr. Burdick is the Associate Dean for TeleHealth and Clinical Outreach and Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami (UM) Miller School of Medicine with over 20 years of experience in telehealth. She has presented and published extensively on telehealth and teledermatology. A charter member of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) and a Fellow of the ATA College of Fellows, Dr. Burdick served on the ATA Board of Directors and chaired its Nominations Committee. She was Founding Chair of the ATA Special Interest Group on Teledermatology, a member of the Telemedicine Journal and e-Health Editorial Board and Co-Chair of the workgroup that developed the ATA Practice Guidelines for Teledermatology.
Dr. Burdick headed the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Telemedicine Task Force and spearheaded the Academy’s Position Statement on Telemedicine and AAD endorsement of the ATA Practice Guidelines for Teledermatology. As Associate Dean for TeleHealth and Clinical Outreach, Dr. Burdick leads UM’s telemedicine services in the US and internationally.


Jennifer Herrera-Perdigon, MSN, NP-BC

Jennifer Herrera-Perdigon, NP obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1994 from Miami Dade Community College, her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2003 from Florida International University. She worked for 9 years in Hematology/Oncology, ER and Primary Care prior to receiving her Nurse Practitioner license as an NP. Jennifer specialized in Breast Cancer, Hematology/Oncology at UM for 9 years.

In 2012, Jennifer joined the UM Telehealth Department as the Clinical TeleHealth Coordinator. She is responsible for coordinating and scheduling of multi-specialty telehealth services. She assists in the development of new telehealth specialty programs, trains physicians, nurses and allied health staff at the originating and consulting sites in the use of telemedicine equipment and conducting consultations in both live interactive and store and forward systems. She assists staff troubleshooting various technical issues related to network connectivity and peripheral devices at both referring and consultant locations.
